OUR MISSION:
To provide a Catholic, affordable atmosphere for participants to grow in their relationship with Christ and His Church.

St. Joseph Retreat Center of Edina is a newly formed ministry in the Jefferson City, MO diocese. We have converted an old convent, built in 1902, into a dormitory setting, keeping the architecture of the Victorian era, with all its charm, while adding a few modern conveniences, including new bathrooms, and showers with continuous hot water. We have beds to accommodate 46 persons in this facility and can set up beds to accommodate 76. There are kitchen, dining and meeting rooms, including the attic which was converted into a new conference room. There is also a beautiful old chapel in this facility.

We are proud of our new facility and its accommodations and would like to share this with your group.

St. Joseph Retreat Center is located 3 blocks north of historic downtown Edina, with its press metal architecture built in 1891. It is a small, quiet town in Northeast Missouri. It is set on 6 beautiful acres, with space to take a walk or just set in the quiet. The massive St. Joseph Church, referred to as the "Cathedral of the North," is located in the next block. This beautiful old Church built in 1874 is a towering beacon leading all to town with its 175 ft. belfry. It is a wonderful place to sit and pray or just to be alone with God.

St. Joseph parish has helped to restore/rebuild the retreat center with many hours of volunteer labor and monies donated. We are very proud of our new facility and the ministry it will bring to our community and our diocese. Thank you St. Joseph parishioners for your great generosity, your support and your prayers. We welcome your inquiries or visits.

To help us insure our future, please remember St. Joseph Retreat Center of Edina in your wills, bequests and gifts. All gifts are very much appreciated. You will be remembered in our daily prayers.
